Consumers are finding it difficult to know which environmental icons to trust or use for purchasing decisions. What are the best and worst environmental icons you've seen on packaging, and do "green" icons influence consumer purchasing decisions?

This article is right on target. There are too many icons related to environmental claims that just don't mean anything. The FTC has to step up and regulate and enforce the use of claims.

This commentary couldn't be more dead nuts on target. Without FTC or other regulators watching and enforcing, there will continue to be a proliferation of meaningless icons. The Carbon Trust Icon to validate icons is a perfect example.
