'Active' Packaging, 'Active' Food Preservative Agents Combined In Bio-based Packaging Material For Shelf-life Enhancement

Sustainable Packaging Forum 2012 was held at the Sheraton Station Square in Pittsburgh PA on September 11-13 with close to 250 packaging professionals in attendance.The 2012 conference offered a taste of what many companies will need to address sooner rather than later. In-depth general and breakout sessions looked at such areas as sourcing paper from certified forests, whether consumers really care about sustainability, how to work global ISO standards into development, and the need for sharper sustainable design.
